Power Plant Conveying Solutions

Keep your power plant running without interruption. We inspect, maintain, and modernise solid-fuel handling equipment during your summer shutdown.

Why ROXON

Broad service capability

Chain conveyors, screws, screens, crushers and belt conveyors all have to operate without excess downtimes. We can service, repair and modernise all of them.

Built around your summer shutdown

We inspect equipment in spring, lock down parts and resourcing before the summer service downtime starts. We supervise the work on site, and hand over a final report that feeds next year’s plan.

We know the equipment

Our long history of delivering material handling equipment to power plants provides us with an excellent background for maintaining and modernising the the equipment.

Reliable operations during the key months

Most of our power plant work is at solid-fuel plants burning wood chips or peat. These facilities cannot afford a mid-winter stop. We handle the maintenance and modernizations during the summer maintenance window to ensure your units are ready when September arrives.

We work with both large and small energy companies as well as pulp and paper sites that have their own power plant, across most of Finland.

Rumpujen vaihtoa

Turnkey service from one supplier

A power plant service downtime runs on a tight clock. We inspect the equipment in well before the shutdown begins and survey the materials and spare parts you will need. We quote the work, resource the crew and supervise on site. We close with a final report and notes for next year.

Sometimes surprises happen. A part that looked fine fails inspection, or a worn component turns up once a machine is opened. We hold a wide enough parts and fabrication capability to react fast and keep the schedule intact.

Roxon modernisation

Expert maintenance and modernisations

We maintain and modernise chain conveyors and belt conveyors in power plants. To ensure smooth operations, chain conveyors need new frames, turning and renewing slide rails, and changing complete chains when they are worn.

We also service and replace bottom-ash chain conveyors and renew head ends. We handle bearing changes, chain changes, and full screen-shaft replacements when the discs are gone. We service screws and bar unloaders, weld up worn boiler-feed screws at silo bottoms, and rebuild receiving stations where the drag chains run in a pit and the slide rails need renewing.

We can maintain equipment built by any manufacturer so you do not need a different partner for every equipment.

Modernisation when full replacement is not the answer

A well-maintained fuel-handling line lasts for years, and a targeted modernisation often returns the plant to reliable service for far less than a full replacement.

We base replacements on careful on-site inspection, measured wear and calculated service life, read against the experience of knowing how your plant runs through the season. This avoids replacing expensive components before their time, and over the long run the savings add up.

Many of our power plant partnerships include modernisation of existing equipment. We have modernised bar unloaders inside silos and added hydraulics as part of the upgrade. We renew drag chains, slide rails and tow frames, and supply complete chains where it makes sense.

Plan your shutdown before the season locks in

Pre-season inspections are the cheapest hours in the maintenance year.

Book one early and we can scope the work, source the parts, and resource the crew before the summer window opens.
