“We service all types of heavy industrial material handling equipment in Finland, regardless of manufacturer. Typical equipment includes belt conveyors, drag chain conveyors, bucket elevators, and screw conveyors. Our specialty is that we can also handle belt deliveries, installations and splicing,” Niiranen summarizes.

ROXON’s field service teams operate across a wide area in Finland: our service network includes facilities in Kemi, Kuopio, Lappeenranta, Hollola, and Pori, along with operations in Gällivare, Sweden. Most maintenance work is performed by our own personnel, but for larger shutdowns we also partner with long-term subcontractors to support the work. Before each shutdown, we conduct a comprehensive inspection of the equipment. Based on this inspection, ROXON provides the customer with a proposal outlining recommended maintenance actions and required spare parts. “We review which tasks the customer wishes to handle themselves and which ROXON will take care of,” Niiranen explains the flexible cooperation.

Technicians record maintenance actions, part replacements, and observations in a service report, which is reviewed together with the customer. At the same time, future maintenance needs and spare part requirements can be planned.

Some customers have also granted ROXON access to their own maintenance management systems. Service data can be entered directly into these systems, keeping the entire maintenance history up to date and easy to monitor. Accurate documentation helps anticipate future needs and ensures the right actions are taken at the right time.
